While some women like to show off that they wear make-up, with things like eyelash extensions and thick, black eyeliner, some women prefer a natural look, otherwise known as the ‘no-makeup look’. That doesn’t mean it’s a face with no makeup, it means it’s a face with makeup with a natural look. In order to create this look, start off by washing and exfoliating your face and then put on a hydrating face mask to moisturize the skin to start with. Then a gel moisturizer will add a layer between your skin and foundation. For some, skipping the foundation works and using a concealer and highlighter work best. Instead of foundation try sheer foundation before concealer. If you use foundation use only one pump so there is no thickness.

Next, a primer is a good idea to give you a glow. Another primer that is recommended by Bazaar is Marc Jacobs’ Under (cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer which holds the upcoming makeup in place.

Apply a hydrating illuminator right before you put on the foundation with a sponge. There are these and various other products for the no-makeup face, Radiant Tinted Moisturizer by Nars.

Rosebud Salve { https://www.sephora.com/search?keyword=rosebud%20salve} is a great product by Sephora to add just a little color to your cheeks. Use a small stipple brush. Various products are available to add natural-looking blush like Soft Pop Blush Stick

For brows, there are gels to help you brush your eyebrows into place like Brow Sculpt Shape and Hold Gel by Refy and you can also use eye shadow for brows as well. When applying eye shadow to your eyes, use your finger and use a natural palette. If you use mascara put it on lightly or don’t put it on at all, possibly use clear mascara.

E-Balm by Persona and Lip Blush Blotted Matte Lipstick by Sephora make your lips look slightly colored but nothing extreme. On the other hand, using lipstick with a glow and shine can blend the lips more naturally.
Remember, makeup doesn’t need to be obvious, it is the natural way for fixing your skin and making it more radiant and attractive without being showy. It takes just about as much time to do a no-makeup face as a makeup face. It’s a great look for young faces and older faces. If you enjoy applying makeup, the no-makeup challenge is just as exciting, if not more, as the typical regimen. It’s easy and it’s fun! With an eye for a soft, neutral band of colors, and intuition when too much is too much, you will look amazing, flawless and enticing!
